It is a deal worth $210 million. Cincinnati Bell is selling its wireless business to the largest wireless company in the country, Verizon.
Cincinnati Bell has been looking to get out of the business for some time saying it has become "economically challenging to deliver best-in-class service." The company believes the sale will allow them to focus better on other aspects of its business like the Fioptics suite of products.
The sale is expected to take 8 - 12 months to complete and in the meantime Cincinnati Bell Wireless says it is committed to continue to provide service throughout the transition time. CBW says it will notify customers on what actions they need to take around the time of the closing of the sale in the second half of this year.
