( Mt Healthy ) - A worker at a group home is now under indictment on multiple counts including murder.

55-Year-Old Janice Cooper is accused of killing James Zito at a group home on Affinity Place on November 18. Zito was born with down syndrome and cerebral palsy. A statement from Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says Zito functioned with the mentality of a 2 1/2-year-old.

Cooper called 911 early that morning to report that Zito was having a hard time breathing, with swollen and purple eyelids, and losing consciousness. He died at the hospital.

The coroner says Zito died from blunt force trauma. Cooper was allegedly the only worker on duty that night. She faces up to life in prison if convicted.
