( Indian Hill ) - Smoke could be seen for miles when a multi-million dollar mansion on Cunningham Road burned in January of 2014. The 22-room complex burned to the ground with damage to property estimated at $5 million.

The deadline for a ruling on the cause is Thursday. "The deadline is a state law that's primarily for insurance purposes, so we do have to issue a ruling. At this time, the ruling is undetermined, but we reserve the right to continue our investigation," says Michael Duchesne with the Ohio Fire Marshal's office.

Duchesne says he wouldn't qualify the cause of the fire as a "mystery," but it's a large area that has to be investigated with cooperation from multiple agencies. He says they are still "actively working this case."
