Americans for Prosperity Action Endorses Bernie Moreno for U.S. Senate, Derek Merrin and Kevin Coughlin for U.S. House of Representatives

Columbus, OH – Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action), today, announced its support for Bernie Moreno’s bid for the U.S. Senate. AFP Action also announced endorsements for Derek Merrin for the District 09 House of Representatives seat and Kevin Coughlin for the District 13 House of Representatives seat.

AFP Action Senior Advisor for Ohio, Donovan O’Neil, released the following statement:

“We are thrilled to announce endorsements for the upcoming U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives general elections. Each of these leaders has the potential to shape Ohio’s political landscape in momentous ways.

“At a time when inflation is at an all-time high, AFP Action is excited to back Bernie Moreno, who has both the business experience and leadership necessary to improve the lives of all Ohioans. He is a champion of fiscal stewardship and understands the nuances of the tax code to help slash unnecessary taxes. He knows the arduous consequences of ‘Bidenomics’ first-hand, and he is committed to implementing policies that will encourage economic growth.

“As State Representative, Derek Merrin has proven that he is an active leader working to advance tax reforms, specifically eliminating the income tax and reforming property tax. His voting records clearly demonstrate his commitment to advancing economic solutions that will get government out of the way for all Ohioans.

“As former State Senator, Kevin Coughlin knows what it takes to keep our nation safe and economically sound. He is clear in his desire to be a fiscal leader, supporting key economic policy reforms including balanced budgets, entitlement reforms, competitive tax rates, and fewer regulations. His pursuit for criminal justice reform and parental rights in education prove that he is prepared to help pass common sense solutions in Washington, D.C.”
