When kicking off your grilling spring meals, try this dry rub - one of Marilyn's signature recipes.  It is easy to prepare and will add that much needed kick to your pork, beef or chicken!


3 tbsp. pure chili powder (ancho or chipotle)

1 tbsp. green chili powder (jalepeno)

2 tbsp. hot paprika

1 tsp. cayenne pepper, or to taste

1 tbsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. ground cumin

1 tsp. ground coriander

1 tbsp. oregano leaves

2 tbsp. fine sea salt

2 tbsp. dark brown sugar


- Stir together all ingredients.  Store in a tightly closed glass jar.

- Makes 1 cup.
