As Alt walked an estimated 5 million steps, through sub-zero temperatures, extreme heat, driving rain, suffering a sprained ankle, swarms of insects, and sunny skies, he was constantly buoyed by the knowledge that his walk was dedicated to his brother who has cerebral palsy and lives at Sunshine Communities.
