Macy's may announce it will shutter its store at Fountain Square this week as it unveils its annual list of store closures expected this week.
The Cincinnati-based retailer typically outlines its closing plans as well as where it plans to open new stores in the first few days of January. Last year, it said 100 stores would close and it listed 68 that would close by summertime.
Macy's said the remaining 32 stores would come in "the next few years as leases or operating covenents expire." Macy's lease for its Downtown store expires at the end of this month.
