Winter Storm Watch

A Winter Storm Watch will begin Friday night and end Saturday at noon for areas south and southeast of Cincinnati Metro.

Two to 4 Inches of snow will fall early Saturday morning.

With warm ground it looks like a wet so slushy mess with some icy patches on bridges and other elevated surfaces.

Clouds are now increasing over the Tri-State ahead of a system that will bring rain then snow.

Friday evening rain develops then changes to  wet snow overnight and continuing early Saturday morning.

The ground is warm, but air temps will drop to below freezing in most areas by dawn leading to concern for slick spots on bridge decks, approach ramps and other elevated surfaces in all locations but especially in the rural areas south of Cincinnati metro.

The high Saturday will be 37 degrees. Sunday will bring another chance for snow later in the evening.

Through the 7-day forecast temperatures will be colder than normal but in beyond the 7-day there is a warm up on the way.
