For its fifth year,Danger Wheeladult downhill Big-Wheel races will double its field, from 64 three-person teams in 2018, to 128 in 2019. TheJuly 27event will start atnooninCincinnati’s Pendleton neighborhood. Danger Wheel is organized by residents and will benefit the beautification of Pendleton, a quickly emerging neighborhood in the urban core of Cincinnati.
Danger Wheel provides Big Wheels to racers, who will face off, one-on-one, on courses that will change and surprise throughout the day. The outdoor event, held rain or shine, will go downhill fast on a two-block course, as racers compete for the much-coveted title of "Danger Champion!"
Danger Wheel 2019 will also feature an expanded area for children and families and a full concert stage experience. The complete entertainment line-up will be announced soon.
Registration for three-person teams is now open atwww.DangerWheel.com Additionally, race fans are encouraged to bring friends and portable chairs to witness Danger, up-close, free of charge.
“Cincinnati’s Pendleton neighborhood is thrilled to see Danger Wheel grow into a fifth year, now with double the Wheels and twice the Danger,” saidAndrew Salzbrun, vice president of the Pendleton neighborhood, partner of the Hickory Wald hospitality group and partner of the Experiential agency, The Agar. “Proceeds from Danger Wheel will help install permanent historical signage markers as well as flower planters and waste receptacles in Pendleton.”
Regional Cincinnati breweries, MadTree, Rhinegeist, Braxton, Taft's and 3 Points will be on tap, complemented by food truck favorite, streetpops and Ohio's best burgers served fresh by Nation Kitchen+Bar.
