Dumplings


  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon shortening

  • 1 cup hot water

Mix all ingredients together into a firm dough. Knead on a floured board until smooth. Cut in half. 

Roll out each half to 1/4” thickness. Cut into squares and drop into hot broth. Cook with lid on until done.
