Wedding Cookies


  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • Sifted powdered sugar

 

In the mixer cream the butter and mix in the sugar.  Stir in the remaining ingredients.Either: roll into logs and slice into thin slices, form into small logs and form into a crescent or form into small balls.Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake in a 350 º F. oven. 8 to 10 minutes for slices, as long as 15 minutes for crescents or balls.Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes.Roll warm cookies in the powdered sugar.
