· 2 stick butter, softened
· 1 c. sugar
· 2 eggs
· 1 t. vanilla
· 1 T. water
· 1 t. baking powder
· 3 c. sifted flour
· ½ t. salt
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs. Beat in the vanilla and water.
Sift the baking powder, flour and salt.
Beat in 1 cup of the flour, beating well.
Stir in the remaining flour.
Cover and chill overnight.
Roll out small portions at a time. Don’t roll too thin.
Cut with cutters and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a 350 f. oven for 10 minutes or until edges are browned.
