OK, that was a funny line a friend sent from a dating app they are on, but a nice segue to trees! As the leaves are turning and verdant greens move to yellow and reds, I want to leave you with this short 2 min 40 second film.
An initiative to connect people with the natural world played out this summer. More than 1,000 trees, for 100 days, made their way around the city of Leeuwarden in The Netherlands.

The “walking forest,” propelled by all kinds of people, young, old, volunteers, random visitors, made its way around the city, populating an area with trees for a week or two, then moving on. The transformation of the spaces was stunning. More stunning was the feeling people had when they were in an environment full of fresh green trees. I hope you enjoy this, and maybe it might inspire a creative idea for a walking forest, or a ‘pop up’ forest in your own town or city.
