Charlie Garrison CEO of Tri-State Gastro

Charlie Garrison is the Chief Executive Officer of Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates, an independent, physician-owned gastroenterology practice that has been providing exceptional care to the Tri-State community since 1982.

A lifelong resident of the region, Charlie brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience from nationally recognized organizations including Deloitte, Procter & Gamble, and General Electric. Over the course of his career, he has focused on building strong teams, improving complex operations, and leading organizations through meaningful growth — experience he now applies to advancing patient care and access to high-quality gastroenterology services close to home.

Charlie and his family have proudly called Northern Kentucky home for over a decade. His connection to Tri-State Gastroenterology is both professional and deeply personal. GI care matters to Charlie because both of his parents were diagnosed with colon cancer, reinforcing his strong belief in early detection, preventive care, and regular screenings.

Tri-State Gastroenterology is made up of ten board-certified gastroenterologists and six Advanced Nurse Practitioners, supported by a dedicated team of in-house schedulers, billers, nurses, and staff — all from the communities they serve.

The practice’s physicians are consistently recognized as Top Doctors in Gastroenterology by Cincinnati Magazine. In addition, Tri-State physicians have received the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s “Uniting to Care and Cure Award” three out of the last five years for their outstanding commitment to patient care, treatment, and research.

Patients benefit from a fully integrated care model, with a state-of-the-art clinic, pathology services, infusion therapy, and a fully functioning Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located at a single site. This one-location approach simplifies care, improves coordination, and makes the patient experience more convenient.

Under Charlie’s leadership, Tri-State Gastroenterology continues to invest in technology, quality, and people while remaining independent and physician-owned. More than four decades after opening its doors, the practice remains committed to the same core principle that has guided it since 1982: treating every patient like family.
