After the long winter and very brief spring, looks like warm weather for flight number 2 today Tuesday, May 22. All the Ambassadors at Honor Flight Tri-State are very grateful to play a part in giving this gift to our veterans. Showing our appreciation for their service and sacrifice seems especially meaningful as we approach Memorial Day just a few days after the flight when we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.If you have not had an opportunity to participate in The Best Welcome Home Ever, tonight will be a great time to say "Thank you" to these men and women. If you have joined us in previous celebrations, we welcome you again. The flight is scheduled to arrive about 8:15 PM; we will gather on the lower level at CVG and share stories, greet old friends, make new friends, introduce students to the joy of expressing gratitude to those who served as we wait to shower our returning heroes with handshakes and kisses and hugs when they return from the trip of a lifetime. Wear your red, white, and blue; bring a flag or a sign; and get ready for the most wonderful parade of our lives.
