Honor Tri-State Flight seeks veterans for upcoming trips
No guardian? No problem.
Cincinnati, Ohio — Honor Flight Tri-State is seeking veterans age 65 and older for upcoming trips to Washington, D.C., and veterans do not need to provide their own guardian to participate.
Honor Flight Tri-State takes veterans age 65 and older who served stateside or overseas on a free, one-day trip to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. The organization has been taking Tri-State veterans to see their memorials since 2005.
We would like to take many more veterans on an Honor Flight from the Greater Cincinnati International Airport (CVG) aboard a charter flight.
We still have a waiting list, but we recently learned that some veterans are hesitant to sign up because they do not have a guardian (chaperone) to accompany them.
Honor Flight requires every veteran to have a guardian, but veterans should not let that stop them from applying. Honor Flight Tri-State has many guardians on its waiting list, and they are ready, willing and able to accompany veterans who need one. These patriots are eager to listen to every veteran’s story and help make the day memorable.
Signing up is easy. Visit honorflighttristate.org, click the veteran button on the front page, and fill out the form. When the form asks about a guardian, note that you need one appointed for you, and we will take it from there.
Veterans are chosen by birth date, with the oldest veterans going first. If you are not signed up in our database, we have no way to contact you when a flight opportunity becomes available.
