A Night With Cincinnati Chili Royalty

The Delhi Historical Society is sponsoring a once-in-a-lifetime event: "A Night With Cincinnati Chili Royalty," on October 11, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the invention of Cincinnati style chili.

The program will be a panel discussion with Johnny Karadjieff, whose father operated Empress Chili and invented Cincinnati style chili in October 1922; Joe Lambrinides, II, a 3rd generation Skyline mogul; and Roger David, whose family started Gold Star Chili.

The moderator is Dann Woellert, historian, "food etymologist," and author of several books, including, "The Authentic History of Cincinnati Chili." Dan will appear on an upcoming episode of "The Food That Made America," on the History Channel later this year.

This program is free and open to the public. It will be held at Mount St. Joseph University's auditorium at 7PM.
