DAV Helps Veterans Find Jobs—and Build Businesses—with Two National Initiatives

U.S. Marine & Air Force Veteran, DAV Chief Communications & Outreach Officer Dan Clare

WHAT:  With federal workforce cuts and the recent government shutdown, job insecurity is hitting families across the country. For the military and veteran community, these challenges compound the already difficult transition from service to civilian life. Veterans have given deeply to this country, yet they’re often hit first when the economy falters. In August 2025, the veteran employment rate increased, and the overall unemployment rate rose to the highest level in nearly four years.

DAV (Disabled American Veterans) is stepping up to help. Through its Employment & Entrepreneurship Program, DAV connects veterans and military families with meaningful job opportunities and resources to build successful post-service careers. As part of that effort, the organization is highlighting two upcoming events designed to support veterans seeking employment or growing a business.

Ahead of DAV’s next virtual job fair on November 25, Marine and Air Force veteran Dan Clare, DAV Chief Communications & Outreach Officer, is available to discuss how DAV is helping veterans find work, start businesses, and thrive after service.
