Community Guns - Street Rescue Plan - This Saturday Mar 18th 2023

STREET RESCUE EVENT PLANNED FOR

GUN VIOLENCE REDUCTION IN THE CITY OF HAMILTON

In partnership with HYPE & The Community Action Committee

At the Truth & Life Community Church

Saturday March 18th 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Hamilton, OH – On March 18th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Street Rescue will be open to receive Community Guns – no questions asked.Any other unwanted firearms, weapons and ammunition are welcome as well.  Street Rescue’s long-time partner, Dale Mallory and the ‘Put down the Guns, Pick up the Gloves,’ organization will Join with HYPE & Community Action Committee, brought together by Pastor Shaq. 

Pastor Shaquila “Shaq” Matthews of Truth & Life Community Church stated, “This initiative is personal because my family has personally been affected by gun violence as my brother was murdered and his case is still unsolved.If through my family’s tragedy I can save other families from this pain it is worth every effort to make this partnership continue to happen. Additionally I hope this effort as a part of my community is one more part of the plan to rid it of the gun violence and the pain that community guns bring.”

“Street Rescue accepts all weapons and ammunition – no questions asked. A gift card will be given as a form of appreciation for helping to clean up and make our community safer!” stated Charles Tassell. “Additionally, we will provide discounted gun safety training and gun locks – because safety with firearms is critical!”

Former Rep. Dale Mallory, “If we want violence to stop, we need to do our part. If someone left a weapon with you that you don’t want, bring it in – no questions asked!”

Rufus Johnson, a certified trainer with Real Truth Inc. said, “In light of the recent tragedies, we are here to help provide discounted gun safety training for all ages.”
