OHIO does "take back" on new Mask requirements
No Work, No Service, No Exceptions
At the request of ABC, the masks required EVERYWHERE rule has been lifted. Here's what happened quickly today:
- ABC led a coalition of organizations asking for this rule to be revised especially related to outdoor construction.
- The state realized that they never really had the authority to mandate masks, only make strong recommendations; they had no enforcement capability.
- Public sector unions said that their employees would refuse to comply, therefore painting a picture where private sector workers would be wearing masks and state employees would not - a very bad look for the administration.
