If you’re having a July 4 celebration, you might want to make this family and friends favorite. Always a hit, especially now that peas are in season!
SEVEN LAYER PICNIC SALAD
Ingredients
•1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled (save a little for the top)
•1 head Iceberg or Romaine lettuce, chopped
•1 red onion, chopped or 1 bunch green onions, sliced thin
•2 cups peas (can be frozen, thawed)
•2 cups Cheddar or favorite cheese (save a little for the top)
•1 cup cauliflower, chopped
•1-1/4 cups real mayonnaise
•2 tablespoons sugar
•1 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1.Layer lettuce, onion, peas, cheese, cauliflower and bacon in a large bowl. This can be done in a casserole pan, too - like a 9x13.
2.Whisk dressing ingredients together and pour over salad. Garnish with reserved bacon and cheese.
3.Refrigerate until chilled. So good!
