As part of its Net Zero initiative, the Cincinnati Zoo aims to turn all of its organic waste into fertilizer.
Using a mix of on-site and off-site composting, the zoo will be diverting all of its organic waste from the landfill. That means composting two million pounds of animal waste produced by its animals each year.
Dung from animals at the zoo -- including Fiona -- will be used to help grow gardens across the area.
