I’m already thinking about Halloween and fun foods to snack on even if the party is small. So for the next 2 weeks I’ll share some good recipes for Halloween.
Here’s a favorite new nut recipe:
1 tablespoon sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon each: cinnamon, cumin, coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or curry powder
1 large egg white, room temperature
2-1/4 cups or so whole almonds, not roasted
Preheat oven to 325.
Whisk together sugar, salt, paprika, cinnamon, cumin and pepper.
Whisk egg white until foamy.
Add almonds and toss to coat, then sprinkle with spice mixture.
Spread in single layer on sprayed baking pan.
Bake 20-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Watch carefully during the last 10 minutes.
Cool and store in airtight container.
